Longway is a German brand. They're the only scooter manufacturers to own their own production plant. This may seem trivial, but the lack of middlemen in the production line gives them the certainty that their employees work in safe and qualitative environments.

Thanks to their ISO 9001 and BSCI labels, Longway guarantees quality scooters with ethical manufacturing!

The story of Longway began many years ago when the brand's creator realized that young riders did their first tricks and jumps on cheap aluminium scooters. Back then, the folding system and the shoddy parts didn't match the sport's practices, which lead to wearing and breaking.

After working with many big brands in component design, the creators decided to start their own range of products. Longway Scooters is born!

Longway is the only freestyle scooter brand to own its own factory. They handle everything from manufacturingto forging, milling, heat treatment, welding and, finally, painting, to ensure the quality of each step. Based in China, their factory is modern, clean and managed by an organized, motivated, and professional production team consisting of engineers, workers, and managers. It has also received a certification of high environmental standards.

The ISO 9901 labels consists of a referential for the implementation of quality management. The notion may seem unclear, but it's because it includes principles such as customer satisfation, continuous improvement, etc.

The certificate includes managerial decision-taking based on proof, the involvement of workers in the decision-making process as well as quality control in the production process.

BSCI is an initiative led by companies committed to bettering the working conditions in their supply chain. It suggests to businesses a code of conduct for a specific purpose: to set in place an ethical supply chain. To that end, the BSCI bets on the respect of worker's rights and favors concepts such as; banning child labor, freedom of association, non-discrimination, special protections for young workers, guaranteed minimum wage, safety and health security in the workplace, decent working hours, the protection of the environment and no precarious jobs.

In order to enforce these commitments on participating companies, the system is essentially based on the following points:

independent audits to monitor working conditions, continuous training for those involved in the production chain and ongoing dialogue with bodies such as trade unions and governments.

In the design of its products, Longway thought of everyone! They offer an amazing model designed specifically for young riders! The Sumit mini is perfectly adapted to a freestyle scooter initiation from an early age.
