Back then, asymmetrical boards meant you had to choose between a normal board or a goofy-stance board. The Asym Twin applies a tighter and deeper radial sidecut on the heel than on the toe. The core is lighter and more responsive than the Full Poplar. The Poplar + Bamboo uses the same durable core, lightens it up by replacing 30% of the Poplar with Paulownia, then inserts two full-length bamboo stringers for more pop and response.
