Arbor was founded in 1995 with their line of snowboards and a focus on sustainability.

They were the firsts to use bambbo, bioplastics but also recycled, recovered and renewable alternatives for their snowboards production!

“For over two decades, we've transformed rider-oriented design into the highest quality handcrafted snowboard products possible, while dramatically minimizing our impact on the planet. "

Snowboarding, but not only!

Shortly after its launch Arborstarted transforming old snowboards into skateboards (longboards, cruisers), ideal for bombing hills when there is no snow. This led to the creation of their skateboard line.

With their skate line, Arbor was pioneer into the use of bio-urethane, recycled materials, wood and bamboo from responsible sources. Their mission is to create high-end lifestyle skateboards, with the smallest environmental footprint!

Over 25 years of quality and ecology!

Since its creation in 1995 Arbor has always provide a range of products combining quality and ecology.

Continuously in search of improvement, Arbor and its teams are constantly developing new techniques, whether from an ecological point of view with its recent use of bio resin, or technologically with its FSC CERTIFIED HIGHLAND II CORE!

Arbor's commitments

Not Just Planting Trees, Rebuilding Forests

Since the first day, The Arbor Collective  has donated to groups that protect and restore forests. This program is called "Returning Roots".

Donations from Arbor serve primarily to preserve Hawaii's Koa Forests, which helps give back to the planet, and to the people and places that gave us surfing, skateboarding and snowboarding. The natives of Hawaii invented surfing 1,000 years ago, on Koa wood boards. The sports we love today are directly linked to that heritage.

The Hawaiian Legacy Reforestation Initiative is the main Returning Roots partner. This group is not just planting trees; they’re thoroughly rebuilding forests from the ground up. As of today, they’ve planted over 350,000 Koa trees.
The Hawaiian Legacy Reforestation Initiative is helping Arbor to do their part in the protection of forests, while they strike an important balance with their use of sustainably sourced materials.

Arbor is also proud to support these great organizations:

The Conservation Alliance is a group of like-minded companies and pays its collective annual dues to local environmental organizations. They direct their funding to community campaigns to protect threatened wild habitats and outdoor recreation. The Alliance was founded in 1989 by outdoor sports industry leaders such as REI, Patagonia, The North Face and Kelty, who share the goal of increasing the outdoor industry's support for conservation efforts. They now have more than 220 member companies.

Founded in 1984 by a handful of visionary surfers in Malibu, California, the Surfrider Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to the protection and enjoyment of the oceans, waves and beaches of our planet.

The Arbor Day Foundation inspires people to plant, care for and celebrate trees. Founded in 1972, on the centenary of the first Arbor Day celebration in the 19th century, the Foundation has grown into the largest non-profit organization dedicated to planting trees, with more than one million members, supporters and valued partners. The impact they have on our world is accomplished through their conservation and education programs.
